Who is Alain Delon’s son?

by Judith Ferrier

Nathalie Delon (born Francine Canovas, also known as Nathalie Barthélémy; 1 August 1941 – 21 January 2021) was a French actress, model, film director and writer.

What happened to Ari Boulogne?

[7][8]

Boulogne reunited with his mother as a teenager and began his career as an actor. He made appearances in films directed by Philippe Garrel including The Inner Scar which he starred in with Nico and The Secret Son in which he was credited as Ari Päffgen. After acting, Boulogne took on a career as a photographer.[9]

Personal life and death[edit]

Boulogne had two children, a son Charles (born 1999), and a daughter Blanche (born 2006).[10] In 2001, he published a memoir Love Never Forgets in which he elaborates on his relationship with his mother.[11]

Boulogne was found dead in his Paris apartment on 20 May 2023, following a heroin overdose a month before. A woman, supposedly his partner, was taken into custody for failure of duty to rescue. He was 60, and was in an advanced stage of decomposition when discovered.[12]

Shortly after his death was announced, his half-brother Anthony Delon paid tribute to him on Instagram, expressing his « great sadness ».

In popular culture[edit]

Boulogne was portrayed by Sandor Funtek in the 2017 film Nico, 1988.

Who was Alain Delon’s love of his life?

[68]

In 1963, Delon met young divorcée Francine Canovas[69] (a model known professionally as Nathalie Barthélémy).[69][70] In January 1964, Barthélémy became pregnant by Delon. On August 13, 1964, they married, and she took the name Nathalie Delon. Their son Anthony Delon, her second child, was born on 30 September 1964. In 1967, Alain Delon filed for divorce.[71] The couple divorced on 14 February 1969.[72]

In the mid-1960s, Delon had a short relationship with Dalida; the two had been friends since first meeting in Paris in 1955, where they were neighbors in the same building on the Champs-Élysées.[73]

In August 1968, during the shooting of the film La piscine, Delon met French actress Mireille Darc and asked her to shoot a movie together. They started a relationship that lasted until 1982.[74] He later had short relationships with actresses Anne Parillaud and Lana Wood,[75] as well as Catherine Bleynie, ex-wife of Didier Pironi.[76]

Delon was in a short relationship with Guadeloupe-born dancer and actress Maddly Bamy. He met Bamy on the set of La Piscine, where Bamy had a small role. As Delon was also Mireille Darc’s partner at the time, he shared his life with two women. Bamy ended their relationship in 1971, and thus became Jacques Brel’s last companion. Their love triangle served as an inspiration to the 1969 film The Love Mates, in which Delon and Darc starred. Darc also wrote the film’s screenplay under her real name, Mireille Aigroz.[77][78][79]

In 1987, Delon met Dutch model Rosalie van Breemen [nl] on the set of the music video for his song « Comme au cinéma » and started a relationship. They had two children: Anouchka Delon (25 November 1990) and Alain-Fabien Delon (18 March 1994). The relationship ended in 2001.

Delon lives in Chêne-Bougeries, Canton of Geneva, Switzerland, and Douchy, Loiret, France.

During an interview in 2013, Delon expressed support of the French far-right political party National Front, saying « The National Front, like the MCG [Geneva Citizens’ Movement] in Geneva, is very important… I encourage it and I perfectly understand it ».[80]

Delon was good friends with Argentine world champion boxer Carlos Monzon.[81][82]

In September 2019, Christian Aaron « Ari » Boulogne sued Alain Delon for legal recognition of paternity.[83]

In 2022, the 86-year-old Delon was invited by Volodymyr Zelenskyy to travel to Ukraine.[84][85]

Marković affair[edit]

On 1 October 1968, in the village of Élancourt, Yvelines, on the western outskirts of Paris, the body of Stevan Marković, Delon’s former bodyguard, was found in a public dump.[86][87] Delon and a Corsican gangster François Marcantoni came under investigation. One of the factors pointing in that direction was a letter from Marković to his brother Aleksandar, in which he wrote: « If I get killed, it’s 100% the fault of Alain Delon and his godfather Francois Marcantoni ».

Who did Alain Delon have children with?

Mr Bouzrou denies all suggestions of her wrongdoing and insists she was ‘not paid to keep Alain Delon company’ but was his life partner and lover.

Delon’s three adult children say Madame Rollin was a paid home help who got ideas above her station

In his heyday Delon’s inveterate womanising was the subject of much scandal

He says they first met in 1989 on a film when Rollin was working as an assistant director, adding: ‘They quickly established an intimate relationship.’

They worked together later on The Return Of Casanova, a period film released in 1992, and then she was hired – apparently on Delon’s say-so – to work with him on the French TV detective series Frank Riva.

The lawyer added: ‘Hiromi Rollin moved into the Douchy home in 2006. They then lived together and shared a life as a couple until she was evicted from this home on July 5, 2023.’

Mr Bouzrou’s account is at least in part borne out by pictures of the two of them looking affectionate at functions.

In a TV documentary in 2021, Delon presented Ms Rollin as ‘my partner’ (the French words used were companion and compagne, which best translate as partner and girlfriend).

He praised her for being at his side during his recovery from his stroke in 2019. That September, she accompanied him to the Paris funeral of Jean-Paul Belmondo, a fellow film legend and occasional co-star, who died aged 88.

When the Daily Mail visited Douchy-Montcorbon this week, there were plenty of local people who said that they had seen Rollin and Delon enjoying themselves together.

‘In recent months he’s been confined to a golf buggy to get around, but before that the couple used to be together a lot,’ said one. ‘They acted like a normal loving couple.’

The neighbour said they were particularly fond of a restaurant called L’Auberge du Terroir, where Delon has a favourite table by the fireplace — albeit one he preferred to use alone.

Rollin has produced a 39-page legal dossier of her own, denying all the charges levelled against her and accusing the children of abusing Delon themselves.

‘They did not get involved in the daily life of their ageing father,’ it states, and she was not his ‘lady in waiting’ but a devoted partner, even though ‘the children of Alain Delon have never accepted the existence of our romantic relationship’.

A source close to Ms Rollin said: ‘She believes Mr Delon is being manipulated by his children.

‘He has not spoken to her since the eviction. She has not even been allowed back to the house to pick up her many possessions, some of which were dumped on the drive.

    Where is Romy Schneider buried?

The Old Gun (by Robert Enrico)

Finally, “The Old Gun” (German titles: “Abschied in der Nacht” [West German cut] and “Das alte Gewehr” [East German cut]) will be released. Here Philippe Noiret is Romy Schneider‘s screen partner in a revenge drama set at the time of the German occupation of France during the Second World War. The film has a very interesting history: in order not to offend the audience in the FRG too much, some “defusing” scenes with Wehrmacht soldiers were shot as alternative editing material. This was then included in the version for West Germany, while the original version was shown in the GDR. For this reason, there is also a West German and an East German dubbed version. UCM.ONE is now releasing the West German cut and sound version in full HD for the first time, and the bonus material goes into detail about the differences between the two versions.

Synopsis: In 1944, surgeon Julien Dandieu (Philippe Noiret) works in the hopelessly overcrowded and undersupplied hospital of the small French town of Montauban.

  • Why does Romy talk like that?

And there’s a third person there, so it’s abnormal for a wedding, but it’s really sort of heartwarming to know that something you did has touched people so much that they want it to be part of their biggest day.

Regarding your agents’ fears, what gave you so much confidence in the film? How did you know it would work?I just really believed in it. I had this gut instinct that it was tremendous and that the people involved were going to turn it into something truly special. It was just my gut. It wasn’t a tactical [choice]; I wanted to do it. And I knew how I wanted to do her. I heard her voice in my head.

Where did the voice come from?Romy’s voice is somewhat based on my sister. When my sister was younger — she’s two and a half years younger than me — she had this best friend named Murph. We grew up in New Jersey, but somehow they both sort of spoke in this [breaks into Romy’s voice and laughs insanely]. They didn’t have the chuckle, so much, but it was that weird sort of pseudo Valley Girl twin-speak that they had. And I just made it a little bit lower, because I felt that Romy is the guy in the relationship. She’s the John Wayne, in her head. So it made sense to have a more masculine tenor to her. And I wanted her physicality to feel like a football player in drag. Like, when you see her marching to places in her high heels, it shouldn’t ever look graceful. The only time she gets to be a tiny bit graceful is during the dance. And even then — I’d taken a ton of ballet in my youth, but I wanted to make it look less accomplished and more in the spirit of a gymnast dismounting, versus the slow elegance of a trained dancer. Sort of just proud of herself. “I’m doing the Snoopy dance now.”

What do you remember about meeting Lisa? That she was super nice. Super beautiful. Lisa’s a really beautiful woman. She’s got these incredible eyes. And I was so impressed with her intelligence. Lisa is so smart. She was almost a doctor; she comes from a family of doctors and was pre-med in college and decided she wanted to be an actor. The medical community’s loss, our gain. When you talk to her, it’s like, “Oh, wise counsel, what should I do?” [Laughs.] She’s nothing like the ditzes she’s become so successful for playing. She’s very brilliant and kind. And measured and thoughtful. She does have a sarcastic humor about life. And she’s funny as she talks. But different from the way her characters are funny.

« To see you asleep. I’m here with you. Have you worn a long black dress that ends with red details on the bust. There are flowers everywhere, but I do not see it. I’ll say goodbye, I will give you the longest farewell, my little doll. So I called you. I do not see the flowers, I see your face and I think you are very beautiful, and you’ve never been so beautiful as it is now.

I believe this is the first time in my life and yours that you are so calm, gentle. You’re so lazy, so good … Oh, how beautiful you are! It looks like an invisible hand, carefully scrubbed your face and eradicates all the tensions and anxieties you hold.

To see you asleep. They tell me you’re dead. I think of you, for yourself, for us.
